Hercules Tires Has Recall

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHercules Tires has recalled a number of light-duty truck tires, according to the Denver Post. The company has found that the belts and treads can separate from the tires. The company is not sure how many tires are involved in the recall, but it involves Hercules All Trac tires, which are 10-ply Load Range E tires. All of the tires recalled have diameter 16 or 17 inches. The company says that the separation may hamper the driver’s ability to control the vehicle. At least one crash has been reported due to this separation issue, but Hercules will not comment on whether there have been any more crashes. People who have these tires on their vehicle should contact Hercules immediately; the company will replace the tires.
Have you or a loved one been injured because of an accident caused by defective tires? Contact an experienced Denver defective product attorney to discuss your options.
Every year, the Consumer Product Safety Commission reports hundreds of product recalls. Some of these recalls present a bigger threat to public safety than others, and defective auto parts can be among the most dangerous. Because a failed auto part can cause an accident that might involve other people, these product defects can be all the more dangerous. Because of the nature of a tire blowout, a defective tire can easily result in serious injuries, not only to the people in the car with the defective tire, but to occupants of other vehicle as well. It is important to understand that if you have been seriously injured in an accident that was caused by a defectively manufactured tire, the tire manufacturer may be liable for your injuries.
