According to a report by The Denver Channel (7News), two employees of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad “were injured when their tie crew motor car was struck by a passenger train west out of Antonito, Colorado.” Their injuries are serious but not life threatening. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The Scenic Railroad line is owned in partnership by the states of New Mexico and Colorado and runs 64 miles between the two states.
