Fort Collins Car Crash Leaves Two Injured – Colorado Attorney

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

An automobile accident in Fort Collins left two drivers injured Sunday and closed an intersection for over five hours. The Denver Post reports that one of the drivers, a 20-year-old woman from Fort Collins, sustained “serious injuries” and the second driver “was treated at a hospital and released.” It is believed that neither “alcohol nor speed” was an issue in this crash and that the crash may have been the result of a failure of one of the drivers to stop at a stop sign. The crash remains under investigation.

According to a statistical report at car-accidents.com, over 2.9 million people were injured in car accidents in the US in 2005. That is nearly 8,000 car accident injuries a day. Car crash injuries range from mild broken bones and lacerations to more traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Even seemingly minor car accident injuries can lead to long term pain and disability, if not treated properly.
